New News in Veterinary Behavioral Medicine

Veterinary behavioral medicine is an ever-changing field, with new information coming to light every few days. This interactive lecture aims to inform practitioners about developments in behavioral medicine through the exploration of several clinically relevant articles and presentations over the past year. Discussion about how to incorporate this new information into practice will be included.

Environmental Enrichment: The essential element for the prevention and treatment of feline behavior problems

Are you recommending everything your feline patient's welfare? Learn the core feline needs (the Five Pillars of a Healthy Feline Environment). From treats to cat trees, this seminar will provide for you the feline essential needs to construct a healthy cat environment. By understanding cats’ unique interaction with their environment, meeting our feline friends' essential needs can decrease cat stress,  stress-related disorders and unwanted behaviors. Strongly based on the AAFP and ISFM “Feline Environmental Needs Guidelines” (published in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery, 2013), come and explore the essential five pillars you need to provide for every cat patient.
